An Interactive Installation

 

Social spaces are so important to the way that we navigate the world. Is this space public, private, meant for discussion or meant for privacy? The hotel room encompasses so much of that: it's your bedroom today but you share it with everyone along the way. Something about that creates exposure. Everything I will ever know about my neighbor is based off what I hear coming down the hall. So, who am I in this space that is intimately connected to every other space and occupant, but also distinctly separated? This is a space where I learned a lot about myself and the people around me. It's a relief to revisit it with these materials and at this scale.
